I am an independent musician known as King of Rockets. I write, record and produce all of my music.
Making the music is the easy part but finding an audience is sooo much harder. Did you know that there are over 60,000 new tracks being uploaded to Spotify every day! Isn’t that just crazy? The only people who really benefit from this are the streaming platforms making billions of $ per year whilst paying artists as little as $0.003 per stream, meaning that unless you get millions of streams per month it’s impossible to make a living through streaming.
So what’s the answer?
Well, I’ve decided to try and use these streaming platforms to point potential fans to this page as this is where I can provide links to my Bandcamp page where you can actually buy my music. (Bandcamp takes just 10% revenue share on sales and nothing at all on Friday’s. ) I also have a Ko-fi page where you can show your support by throwing a few coins into my virtual buskers hat.
